Virtual Vacationland is a resource tool to help elementary and secondary teachers and students find and use Earth science data and information on the Internet. Content is arranged by science topic. Each topic has a preview page that summarizes the material. Each topic also has 2 to 5 detail pages, which show where to access online data and what the data means. The site includes over 40 hands-on activities available on the following science topics, with new topics being added as the site grows: Land Topography; Ocean Bathymetry; Coastal Tides; Ocean Buoy Data; Ocean Temperature; Weather and Climate; and Watersheds and Rivers.
