Description:
Oceanography website for teaching and learning about oceanography. Teaching materials include the following topics:
- Properties of the Ocean -- "Savage Sea or Tranquil Ocean"
- Ocean Currents -- "What goes around comes around"
- El Niņo -- "The Bad Boy of the Pacific"
- The Oceanic Heat Budget -- "It's not the Heat, It's the Humidity"
- Fisheries -- "I'll take mine with anchovies, please...the Ocean that is!"
For each set of materials, five major themes are addressed: (1) Systems & Structures, (2) Energy, (3) Change, (4) Interactions, and (5) Measurement.
