Mission: Biomes
Description:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a
different part of the world? What would the weather be like? What kinds
of animals would you see? Which plants live there? In this new experiment
for teachers and students, you can investigate these questions and learn
about biomes -- communities of plants and animals living together in a
certain type of climate. NASA's Earth Observatory web site provides a rich
summary of this issue, with links. If the "glossary on" button is selected,
key words become hotlinks to definitions.
