The Great Satellite Search!
Description:
Students browse the Internet to look up information on the history of a satellite they select from a list that is provided; organize the information; then make a presentation to the class on a satellite, and discuss the capability of the leading edge of
technology for a given time. Students keep a research log, and hand in printouts of all information used. The lesson plan is designed to teach the students how to use the computer and the Internet to research, organize, and present information. The site includes Tips
for Searching the Internet, a Research Log Form, suggestions for
Presentation methods, and guidelines for assessment.
