"Climate Summaries of the Midwest" summarizes historical precipitation, temperature, snowfall, heating and cooling degree days for hundreds of recording sites in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and New York. Excellent coverage exists; a student is sure to find a recording station at or near home. Students can be asked to make comparisons between sites, and to explain temperature, rain, and snowfall patterns.
