Adapting to Climate Change
Description:
Due to the growing challenges caused by climate
changes and the threat of global warming, scientists and policymakers in
the U.S. have joined forces to participate in the U.S. National Assessment
on the Potential Consequences of Climate Variability and Change. Activities
conducted by this group on the East Coast and the Great Plains provide
good examples of how information is helping the U.S. prepare for future
climate changes. NASA's Earth Observatory web site provides a summary of
this issue, with links. If the "glossary on" button is selected, key words
become hotlinks to definitions.
