Description:
The Watershed Atlas Project is a ten-week inquiry-based, hands-on distance learning course in which students and teachers investigate their watershed in interdisciplinary, collaborative teams. They identify and define the boundaries of their watershed; assemble a steamer trunk that creates a living profile of their watershed; create an electronic portfolio of their steamer trunk and post it on a web site; and create and implement an action plan for a local watershed improvement project.
