Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars Program (LARSS)

Description:
The Office of Education at Langley Research Center offers the LARSS Program, a 10-week program available to juniors, seniors, or first-year graduate students. LARSS' objective is to enhance students' interest in aerospace research and encourage them to pursue graduate degrees by exposing students to the professional research resources and facilities at LaRC. In summer 2000, LARSS students worked on programs in the Atmospheric Sciences Competency, including the following international projects: Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment (SAGE), Climate Research Program, Tropospheric Chemistry Research Program, Upper Atmosphere Research Program, Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE), Halogen Occultation Experiment (HALOE), Global Biochemical Cycling, and Pathfinder Instruments for Cloud and Aerosol Spaceborne Observations - Climatologie Etendue des Nuages et des Aerosols (PICASSO - CENA).
