Through funding from NASAís Earth Science Enterprise, Howard University is hosting a conference March 20-22, 2000 in Washington, DC entitled: "Celebrating 20th Century Pioneers in the Atmospheric Sciences: Examining 21st Century Challenges and Opportunities."

The purpose of this conference/workshop is to:

Full travel awards are available for up to 70 students and postdocs. Attendance is encouraged for both students and professionals working in fields related to the atmospheric sciences, including: broadcast meteorology, academic research, government, and private sector.
