Spinning in Circles: Earth's Rotation and Revolution
Description:
A round balloon , flashlight, marker, and wooden skewers are used to demonstrate the position and motion of the Earth relative to the Sun. The Northern and Southern Hemispheres, the Tropics of Cancer, the Arctic Circle, the Antarctic Circle, and the
North Pole are drawn on the balloon. Students tilt the Earth and use
their bodies to simulate the motion of the Earth and the moon.
