Missouri River Adventure
Description:
Students learn to interpret remotely-sensed images using an image that follows the Missouri River from just north of
Blair, Nebraska to just south of Bellevue, Nebraska. Students are
guided through the discovery of the significance of color on the
image, the use of pixels as a location system, and how to use the
software to measure distances. The students then do an independent
study project relating to the present Missouri River, its history
and/or the future. Student instruction sheets. a student answer
sheet, and an assessment rubric are provided.
