Exploring the Environment - Yellowstone Fires
Description:
ETE encourages students to collaborate to solve real-world problems dealing with modern environmental challenges. For each module, students read background information and learn about their situation before they solve a problem. Read teacher pages before beginning.
In this module, students help the Forest Service make a decision about whether or not to let a fire burn the next time there's a natural fire in Yellowstone National Park. They perform an Earth system science analysis and predict the results under the existing policy.
