Exploring the Environment - Strangers in Paradise
Exploring the Environment - Strangers in Paradise
Description:
ETE encourages students to collaborate to solve real-world problems dealing with modern environmental challenges. Entry-level activities are intended to give students some basic technical skills they will need for the problem-based modules. In this one, students imagine they are tourists finding their way around the island of Hawaii. They use remote-sensing imagery and measuring tools in the application NIH Image to calculate distances between sightseeing stops and to make inferences about a volcanic crater.
