Endurance

Description:
Simulating a situation faced by Ernest Shackleton in Antarctica in 1914, students model the physical conditions and the motion of the pack ice. They measure the effects of wind and changes in topography on the motion of the ice, and learn about the meteorological and oceanographic conditions in Antarctica.
