Description:
After studying about global climate change and El Niņo, students will collect data about rainfall and temperature variations for their region during an El Niņo year. Students will then examine a series of standardized vegetation indices with DataSlate to draw conclusions about the effect of El Niņo on their region.

Although these activities are designed to teach specific skills and knowledge through scientific inquiry, their broader intent is to stimulate thought and discussion about the long-term impacts of a warmer planet.
